COVID misinformation 

I was hoping we'd see a correction but since it hasn't appeared, the latest NY Times story is claiming a 3% case fatality rate for COVID. This is wrong. Three percent CFR is too high even for an entirely naive population and is off by vastly more in the current vaccinated and/or recovered population.

NB: I think the article refers to post-mortem transmission, but COVID has is much more transmissible rate from living individuals.

@ct_bergstrom I guess she's talking about Ebola viremia, but I vaguely recall that there's an association between covid mortality and covid viremia. And, of course, covid is much more transmissible than Ebola, which requires contact with precious bodily fluids.
