1. These events really give the lie to the putative imminent replacement of professionals by AI. I’m quite certain some VC out there has money sunk into “LLMs will replace lawyers!” I know they’re trying with coders, therapists, tech support…and…just look at this frigging mess.

@inthehands @kendraserra Such an old theme in technology. COBOL, "visual programming" etc. all marketed as programming for non-technical folks..
@twitskeptic Yup. It’s a scam that never dies.
(Aside: I’m a big fan of the ideal of visual — or at least more-than-just-textual — programming, and am frustrated that it’s mostly died on the “make programming easier” hill instead of pursuing “help experts think better,” where it could actually shine.)
