A death from this pandemic is a tragedy, but I'm not going to sugarcoat or dance around the obvious.

While he was campaigning leading up to the general in November, congressman-elect Letlow wore a mask. When he and his wife voted on November 3rd, they both wore a mask. On November 4th, he began sharing photos of events he was attending to campaign for the special election *without wearing a mask.* During one event, he was seen meeting with medic first responders to thank them. They were all wearing masks. He was not.

This was COMPLETELY preventable. My deepest condolences go out to his wife and children, who suffer needlessly, but he hitched his political career—and his life---to Trump, and it cost him everything.

Picture after picture of gatherings and no masks. He had a responsibility. So did the people in these pictures.

These tragedies need to end. Only we can end them.

Luke Letlow, 41, GOP congressman-elect from Louisiana, dies of covid-19:

@TonyStark
Covid's death toll is a national tragedy and every death is terrible and once we knew the facts, every death was preventable, including this one.

I'm sorry for his family and for so many families nationwide but what's it going to take? #StayHome #WearAMask

@RJA @TonyStark we're not immortal. Not all deaths are preventable
