Bought a Ruger PC Carbine today. Had to travel a little bit, but not too bad. The gun is going to be a test mule for a certain product. #ruger
@gat Which one did you get? We've been looking at one, thinking it might be a reasonable camping rifle.
@admin I got the most basic of them, Model 19100. It was the only one available within about 50-100 miles from my house (not counting some obscure LGS that I didn't call, of course).
@valleyforge @admin Yes, Ruger PCC is a straight blowback action, although Ruger chose to put a moving deadblow weight into the bolt. It increases the dwell time behind the magazine and thus improves the reliability, while keeping the action short. Note that even with that trick the action of PCC is longer than that of its forerunner PC9, which had the bolt mass inside the handguard. #ruger
