understand some well known folks and journalists will choose #post over the #fediverse in leaving the bird app because control and delineation of populus (see: classism) is still more comfortable for many.

@ottoflux Occam's Razor would have us consider that they will continue to post on because that's simply where the people are.

No need to reach for any theories beyond that.

@volkris will, it’s a razor, not a law. presumptions abound — and i added very few variables to my comment, as well as suggested people find good homes here so this will be where people are.

this isn’t the bird app, and your retort is noted but spouting “Occam’s Razor” at someone isn’t much to add to the conversation.

comfort/resistance to change isn’t a stretch.

@ottoflux Well I think it's good to step back and center around claims that would be more mainstream, easier to swallow for more people.

Occam's Razor does happen to point to explanations that will tend to be more mainstream. more digestible for a general audience on social media.

@volkris sure. i appreciate your point. i’m a long time study of humanity and human behavior, and definitely not attempting to be a mind-reader or prognosticator. i’ve just been reading what some people in that group have been saying here and there as well as applying what i tend to see.

not attempting to get too far out there and sorry if it sounds that way. i tend to need a lot more than 144, or even 500 characters to be coherent. 😅
