The lack of links in #Lemmy posts when viewed from #Mastodon or client app is definitely hampering my engagement with that platform. Which is a shame!

See, eg, this Lemmy Account and one of their posts. On Lemmy, like Reddit, the main content is a link to something interesting. On Mastodon, that link isn’t available (unless I’m missing something!)

Don’t know if this is an #ActivityPub limitation or fixable.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. You included a link in your post that certainly showed up for me.

@volkris Yep, that was a link to the Lemmy post itself, which should have taken you the Lemmy web page.

The kind of link I’m talking about is not to Lemmy, but to something else on the web which has been shared in the Lemmy post. In this case, a blog post about open source software.

That isn’t in my post, I don’t think, and isn’t in any Lemmy post when it appears on Mastodon.
