As Big Journalism ramps up its tendentious "Trump crimes are a problem for Biden" coverage -- today's Washington Post is a prime example -- we're seeing the answer to a central question about the craft: Has it learned anything from the grotesque and damaging failures of the recent past.
The answer is, mostly no.
The next election will decide whether American democracy survives, and it's clear that journalism won't lift a finger to help save it.
I mean it's apples and oranges. The one does not have to do with the other.
Are people willing to reelect Biden even though he has done some really questionable things? I don't know. We will find out. That's why we have elections
