On the bright side, #SCOTUS keeps coming up with splendid reasons why Gen-Zs should get out their own vote in massively record numbers. It’s time they (and millennials) stop complaining about the shitty deal they were dealt, and go out and vote to take control of the damn deck.
@shoq I prefer to play a different game. History has proven that there's more than one way to organize our societies. We're not done evolving. I suspect very soon we'll place our president on the shelf next to the king of England and the pope of Rome. We'll dust them off now and again for folks like you.
I think there's a difference in that the entire executive authority of government is explicitly organized around this one, electable, accountable, and impeachable figure.
What is the alternative that's so much better that it would replace the presidential system?
King was replaced by parliament because parliament was better than king. What's the better alternative to president?
