There is a level of hypocrisy for those who are advocating the Fediverse for it's non-centrally controlled nature while also advocating blocking Threads. An open system where servers are individually controlled means expecting that those servers operate under their terms. Many users want a simplified approach and Threads is offering that. I suspect the more servers that block Threads means less incentive for it to be part of the Fediverse - especially the larger Threads gets. #Fediverse #Threads
