So, anyone else wonder if the plan for Republican controlled states here is to chase all of the left leaning people out, bolstering their majority stranglehold in certain states and sacrificing things like talented doctors/nurses/teachers/etc. for an electoral college advantage? Literal tyranny of the minority? Hmm?

It makes for a headline capturing conspiracy theory, but it's just not practically realistic.
For one thing, it's pretty much impossible to hold together such a coalition for those political generations. We've already seen positions change just over the past couple of decades, not to mention what would be required to really modify the Constitution in ways without broad consensus.
@volkris
From the article: "The second method — never before accomplished — involves two-thirds of US states to call a convention. The power to call for a convention belongs solely to state legislatures, who would pass and ratify amendments without a governor's signature, Congress' intervention, or any input from the president."
All they have to do is chase enough lefties out of enough lower-population states, and they can enact whatever they want without broad consensus. Plausible imo.
