Not that it matters, but I just ended up blocking someone that decided to complain about @dansup & @pixelfed new IM app because their essential complaint was the choosing different messaging apps is too hard.

Like if you just want to use one app, cool. Why complain about it though? I swear people act like reading an app announcement forced them to download and use the app.

Whether you use it or not, it shows the versatility of #ActivityPub & the #Fediverse.

Well, it's not the most unreasonable thing to complain that it makes for a harder user experience to have to make such choices.

Yes, arguably choice is good, as it gives a user options that may better suit his preferences.

But we shouldn't be so quick to dismiss choice paralysis or the cost in time and effort it takes to weigh choices, even if we decide that on balance, it's better.
