Of all the GOP candidates for Speaker, Tom Emmer is arguably the most moderate. Emmer voted to certify the 2020 election, and election denial was (rightly) the red line for the Democrats.
I am not saying that the Democrats should give Emmer votes to push him over the 217 mark, but Emmer might be one of the few that could get support from across the aisle.

@jayreding and don't forget that Democrats could simply decline to vote.
They don't have to support any Republican candidate. They don't have to "help" Republicans. They could simply stop actively engaging and thus empowering the GOP hardliners.
