Yep, and I think this is part of the dynamic at play. Even good allies who have paid attention, think they have a grasp on what things look like this time (i.e. approximately what they looked like in previous iterations) and are responding based on that understanding.
These things are turning into the 2015-2016 Trump rallies but worldwide. Daily calls for violence at those present and mass violence around elsewhere. People being hospitalized every day. One person dead. Mobs hunting Jews by name in multiple countries.
This is unprecedented in modern times, and unprecedented entirely in the US to my knowledge (I'll defer to experts on that). Without actually following stuff in detail, they have no clue. And they're intentionally not following because they think they already know and are addressing it.

@imstilljeremy wow, did you go to any of those Trump rallies? Because there was so much misinformation about what went on in them, so many in the press writing articles that actual attendees regarded as completely unrecognizable compared to the actual events.
Yes, we were fed stories about Trump rallies being calls for violence, but those stories seem to have been little more than political propaganda against the competition.
