So regarding the University of Pennsylvania president's resignation, I'm kind of confused. Like, I get that the question of "Would calling for the genocide of Jews be considered bullying or harassment?" was most likely asked in bad faith. What I don't get is why it was so hard to just say "yes".

Like, what circumstances was she imagining where she felt like she had to act all cagey about this?

Maybe I'm being naive. Maybe it's just straight up antisemitism.

@BathysphereHat I imagine it's straight up political posturing, with somebody who is not good at it not really knowing what answer to give.

That is to say, I don't think it represents any particular ideology, it's just a person trying to play politics when they're not good at playing politics.
