I just discovered #Trump's best defense against #Colorado trying to keep him off the #ballot. It's the phrase "to the best of my ability". As the quintessential malignant narcissist, he is absolutely incapable doing anything that's outside of his own self-interest. He has zero ABILITY to preserve, protect or defend the Constitution. His sick mind is incapable of it. Therefore, he didn't violate his oath of office on January 6th. He behaved to the best of HIS profoundly limited ability.

@ArtSmart no, The matter of law being cited to keep Trump off the ballot has nothing to do with the wording of the oath.

@volkris My post was tongue in cheek. However, article 3 of the 14th Amendment requires having violated his oath to support the Constitution. My point is, that under a very tight reading of the oath that he actually took, he didn't violate it.
