You and I might both hate the way that most people think, but we can't escape that if we are to live in a democratic representative government.

I would say that you do care an iota for what the other people do because they vote and as a democracy we count those votes.

You can say fuck them in their feelings, but the problem is that If we are going to be a democracy they and their feelings do contribute to the future of our governance structure.

You can't just discount that.

Again, I repeat, if we are going to be a democracy.

It's the age old issue that the problem with giving people a say in their government is the people.
