#SCOTUS to Hear Momentous Case on Whether #Trump Can Hold Office
(#nope)

The #Colorado Supreme Court ruled last month that TFG could not appear on the state’s #Republican #primary #ballot because he had engaged in #insurrection.

The case centering on Trump’s eligibility for re-election could alter the course of this year’s presidential election.

#SCOTUS on Fri agreed to decide whether #Trump is ineligible for #Colorado’s #Republican #primary #ballot bc he had engaged in #insurrection in his efforts to overturn the 2020 #election.

The case… will be argued on Feb. 8. The court will probably decide it quickly, as the primary season will soon be underway.

Trump asked the #SupremeCourt to intervene after Colorado’s top court #disqualified him from the ballot last month. That decision is on hold while the justices consider the matter.

That is exactly one of the questions on the table.
