I saw #twilight the #movie first time in my life this weekend... I'm surprised how bad the story telling is in this movie. Are the books any better? That's what #teens were into in the early 2010s?
But it made me wonder what do you think is cooler in general?
#Werewolf or #Vampire

@TheGymNerd ha, I thought even when it came out we were all aware that the storytelling was crap.
People went to see it for the drama and social experience, not for the laughable story.
The real tragedy is that yes, teens were into it in the 2010s, but Twilight arguably helped magnify the popularity of the YA genre among other demographics ever since.
So now we get bad story telling throughout media industries, so low were standards lowered by the successes of franchises like that.
Ah well, it's what the people want.
@TheGymNerd I didn't see it, but I imagine if you describe it as dark then it was too dark for the YA vibe they were promoting.
The selling point of that genre is to be superficial so there isn't any real depth or substance to distract from dumb teenage drama.
The lack of a good story is a sellingpoint to that genre. Otherwise a person would be distracted from emoting with the emo figures on the screen.
@volkris if you never saw it but are into Fantasy it's still worth watching today. But it has been a while since I saw the movies, don't know how good they have actually aged.
Story wise I think it's more on a Marvel level. So don't expect anything revolutionary but at least entertaining.
