@Mikewashere what makes you think Netanyahu would even take the phone call?
Joe Biden has really squandered his influence on the international stage.
Given the political and legal realities around Netanyahu, and everything we know about the realities surrounding Biden, at this point even the issues of money and bombs aren't enough to guarantee that he would take the call.
And there has been reporting about supposed snubs showing exactly that between the two.
Keep in mind the state of the coalition government in Israel right now, and the time horizon of Netanyahu's tenure.
@volkris Been a lot of squabbling within the coalition, but it seems that the govt under 'special administration' due to the conflict, support Netanyahu, which blocks any attempt to get him into court to face his various charges. The sooner the conflict ends, the sooner he could face court when elections etc gets back on track. But ultimately, he cannot carry on without the support of the US, and to a lesser extent, the UK. Israel has had state of the art drone factories in the UK for years.
@volkris Netanyahu would take the call alright if he's briefed beforehand that there will be no more money and bombs.
Not so much Biden losing influence as the US losing influence. China now leads the initiative to seek peace for Palestinians. It amazes me that any world leader would'nt take that route, being so much more popular with people than conflict.
Since I was a child, I'm 64 now, the US has dominated through aggression. The world has had enough of that. China does'nt bomb, it negotiates
