John Oliver was hilarious until he started mucking about in politics. Now he just seems ignorant and willing to throw away half of his potential audience.
@volkris Oh, the irony. John Oliver has a huge following precisely because of his political takes, not in spite of them. People want to know what he thinks about this stuff. I don't think there's nearly the same demand for your opinions on comedy. So the standard "stay in your lane" response doesn't really fit here as a critique of John Oliver.
