Let's look at today's Starship wreckage at the bottom of the Indian Ocean, with a dose of reality. We have 3 launches and 3 failures, one blew up shortly after liftoff, the other one blew up a little later and today the booster had failed to land and Starship was burned up during re-entry. Musk, his Muskrats and dumb media will try to spin this as incremental success and a step closer to returning man to the Moon.

Now, let's have a look back more than 55 years. Do you know how many failures did Saturn V / Apollo have? (not counting Apollo 13, where the mission failed but the crew survived). ZERO. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, more than 55 people could actually build rockets that didn't explode or fell back in pieces and actually were able to fly men to the moon and back, all that when space age was barely 10 years young

@PeterSoukup but this is not analogous to Saturn v/ Apollo.
This is analogous to the research programs that proceeded those, where there were plenty of failures.
This is not the final product. SpaceX does not claim this is the final product.
@PeterSoukup they aren't coming though. They are absolutely not literally trying to do the same thing.
There are different goals, different technologies, different processes, it's just all together extremely different on all levels.
