After 2020 presidential election as some #Trump supporters falsely claimed that #PresidentBiden had stolen the office many of them displayed a startling symbol outside their homes on their cars and in online posts: an upside-down #Americanflag. 1 of homes flying an inverted flag during that time was residence of #SupremeCourt #SCOTUS Justice #Alito - Samuel A. Alito Jr., in Alexandria, Va., according to photos & interviews with neighbors in Alexandria VA nytimes.com/2024/05/16/us/just #ImpeachAlito

"The court has also repeatedly warned its own employees against public displays of partisan views, according to guidelines circulated to the staff & reviewed by The Times. Displaying signs or bumper stickers is not permitted, according to the court’s internal rule book & a 2022 memo reiterating the ban on political activity.

"Asked if these rules also apply to justices, the court declined to respond."

No accountability.

@sadele2 There is a federal statute which requires all federal judges, including #SupremeCourt justices, to #recuse themselves from any case “in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned,” but there is no effective enforcement mechanism to apply this vague law to a Supreme Court justice. #Democracy #FederalJudiciary #SCOTUS #broken not subject to law #corruption continues #financialdisclosures are a fraud. We have for years now been witnessing real time the unraveling of rule of law

@bespacific the problem is that regulation of the Supreme Court would violate the independence of the judiciary.

If our representatives feel that action needs to be taken, they have impeachment, but that's it.

This was the intentional design to prevent the other branches from interfering in the Court's proceedings.
