Independent U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly considering dropping out of the race and endorsing Donald Trump.

The Hill reports: "Kennedy has sought to tamp down any lingering fondness for the left, including seriously distancing himself from his Democratic brand and his family’s long standing within the party."

@hoare_spitall I mean, personal motivation is the name of the game, and for good reason.

We WANT personal investment by our politicians, as that keeps them engaged and incentivized to satisfy their constituents as they set about governing.

Unfortunately my experience is that political motivation means achieving political aims, ie shared aims for the good of the community.
Personal motivation far too often means career advancement and financial gain.
I've worked with many politicians over many years. Most have started out with the former statement, but have evolved into the latter. It's the same with any group allowed to write their own 'success reports'.
