Hey, remember before the Affordable Care Act, where the only way to get good health insurance was through an employer, and if you lost your job you also lost your insurance, and even minor medical emergencies were enough to ruin you?

That's where the incoming administration wants us to go back to.

It's been almost 15 years, so I get that a lot of y'all don't remember what that was like. Trust me: IT SUCKED.

And don't get me started on pre-existing conditions.

But I do remember getting really good health insurance without an employer before the ACA, and then getting a job, and then after the ACA losing my good health insurance even though I had one.

So many of us lost out on health insurance thanks to the ACA.

We should not hide that. We should present it as the failure that it was.
