💯 The lesson of 2016: given a choice btwn #GOP Lite & a real Republican, GOP voters will always choose a real Republican.
It's not a winning strategy to soften & weaken our Dem principles & policies in a futile effort to appease RW voters & siphon some off to win #elections.
#Centrism serves no one.

@ginaintheburg forget Republicans, though: Democrats showed that they had a problem with traditional Democratic voters and independents.
When Democrats run left they lose votes from their own traditional constituencies.
