The Luigi Mangione story has been a great vantage for watching the legacy media backing away from something they can't spin for the comfort of power. When they couldn't shame the public out of treating Luigi like a folk hero, they stopped showing us his supportive public.

Meanwhile here, or on TikTok, we still see plenty of support.

Completely unrelated story: TikTok is set to be banned in less than a month.

How long until Mastodon servers become illegal "because terrorism/for the children?"

@ErosBlog

Tiktok can be banned because its one source. The #Fediverse is multiple sources around the world and makes banning practically impossible, like #XMPP and #email servers.

The later is *Taking the Internet back*!!!

@bob well, it's not so much that it's one source but that it's one client.

The bans are focused on clients, so if TikTok had multiple clients, or sold access to clients for access to its content, then it would be harder to ban.
