@tekkie used them only as domain registration provider, however since last year they blocked access to DNS API for everyone not having at least 15 domains, so I am gradually migrating all domains from them to porkbun.
@tekkie more and more I am thinking about it, there shall be standardised vehicle for dns zones transfer during domain transfer (dns transfer) to different registrar/dns provider. Something that ICANN will enforce. I know I am naive. While that ICANN schema is one big ponzi schema pyramid. And they will do anything to take down alternative naming systems. We need more of those take back control, courious if this can be somehow federated. Noment it will get to browsers, house of cards collapse
@tekkie Well more importantly we should return to the old norm where we recognized that there can be multiple name server systems, and end users can subscribe to whichever they want to.
The problem is that we recognize a single DNS. And part of that problem is legal recognition of a single DNS. That was a really screwed up legal conclusion, it was wrong, and I sure wish we could fix it.
