i've been quote boosting instead of direct replying, because long story explanation here, and maybe i should be replying instead... i'll give this a try

@patamystic Well I think the two options are just fundamentally different with different meanings.

I reply when I want to engage the person I'm replying to, but I quote boost when I want to build on something to a broader audience, especially when I don't want to actively engage the original author.

@patamystic ha, Well that is one way to use social media. Different people use it differently.

Personally, I'm just not that interested in audience, so I don't really think of it that way. But I can see how if that's your goal then you would pay a lot of attention to this.
