#SCOTUS cleared the way Monday for #California #schools to out children that identify as #transgender to their parents without getting the student’s approval, granting an emergency appeal from a conservative legal group.
The order blocks for now a state law that bans automatic parental notification requirements if students change their pronouns or gender expression at school.

@Nonilex if a parent can’t even help with 6th grade math why would their say matter?
It's because the US has a long history of presumption that any say matters, bristling at the idea that authorities get to determine what people can and can't say.
The argument before the Court here is about governmental restriction on speech. A lot of folks miss that.
