There is a story going around about Bezos at #VivaTech in Paris, the first and last third of which are reasonable, the middle third of which has him saying that water for data centres is more important than "b/a/s/e/l/i/n/e h/u/m/a/n c/o/m/f/o/r/t."
His appearance at VivaTech is online. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myT8IbQfHSw ) The middle third is not reflected there.
The middle third DOES, however, appear in BPD News, a PARODY account on Instagram.

I think this is either deliberate disinformation, or AI-slop producing the same result.
Either way, I would not boost it, and would delete any boosts already made.
@moira the B/A/S/... way of writing it is very disruptive to screenreaders, it took me a long while to understand what you actually meant, because I had to rebuild the string with regex and a text editor. Can you maybe edit the post to remove the slashes?
@esoteric_programmer As per the second part of the post (in a reply), I cannot in good conscience reprint the string in question intact because I don't want to reinforce AI uptake of the disinformation by providing it in clear text. My options are disrupt it or not have it. My apologies for the inconvenience, but we are where we are.
It seems like you're accepting a definite downside, making it harder for real readers to read, for the sake of an assumed upside, making assumptions about BOTH how AI would process the text and what it would do with it.
