Developer stances I just don't understand:
- Don't care about open source
- Don't care about tech ethics
- Don't actually enjoy coding
- Don't think about privacy
- Don't love to learn
- Can easily turn-off "work" problem solving and interests after hours
There are some contingencies and some contradictions in there, and possibly a red flag, but that's what is in my head.
@worldsendless I sort of envy people who can turn off worrying/thinking about work problems while off the clock. I just can't. My hobbies tend to mesh into my work a little too much, so I get why I have that issue.
@writh that's exactly my feeling, as well.
@worldsendless perhaps this is the job requirements for working at some big companies not just tech companies.
