One of my favorite nice things about #Clojure is that it supports the whole spectrum from goofy prototypes to industrial strength boring apps, while staying fun all the time! bonus on top: there's money in it, too. But fun is what makes the difference!

What do you think, will Clojure become one of the TOP 10 languages in popularity some day? I have been interested about it for a some time now, but jobs are still quite sparse in it.
@heikkiket Last year we had a huge boom in jobs last year; it was like every start-up wanted #Clojure. But that may have settled down now.
I don't feel it would hit top 5, because it doesn't want to. But I think it should make top 10. Thing is, it tends to bring in senior devs who have been burned by other languages. It is super fun, and allows huge freedom and power, but at the cost of a little more barrier to entry.
#Clojure has made my CSS, HTML, Javascript, Shell scripting, Java, SQL better -- but only after I already got some groundwork in them. Some of the top 5 languages aim precisely at new programmers (Python, JavaScript), and I don't think Clojure ever will. But it's worth it for those who love to learn, to understand, and to achieve mastery.
