I figure one of the things that makes me so bad at making connections with new people is that unlike a lot of other folks, I don't really like to talk about myself very much, and I especially don't like to repeat myself.

So having to say the same basic stuff to hundreds of people to filter through until you find one that actually clicks with you is incredibly exhausting.
