@BinaryBolshevik @zleap and yet they don't go around shooting kids in schools. Go figure?
According to the bbc
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-63911172
"In total, 279 have died from being shot on a school property during, before or after school hours, including weekends.
This is since the Sandy Hook Shooting.
This is also from the BBC on fatal UK stabbings
There were 285 killings by a knife or sharp instrument in the 12 months ending March 2018
My post reply was to highlight the knife situation / stats in the UK. I think we can probably conclude a few points, the US has a gun problem the UK has a knife problem, neither of our ruling elite seem to be able to get a grip on it.
One of the things that seems to come from some of the US shooting is mental health issues of those that carry out the shootings, seems to be a common thread there.
I don't fully know what the causes are, but both countries seem to be failing.
The whole political system is broken.
@zleap @mafeesh @BinaryBolshevik
It's broken for us. It works fine for the plutocracy it was designed for (at least until their carelessness runs it into the ground).

@zleap @BinaryBolshevik
I utterly agree, but I think if you added gun or knife killings in the US outside of schools the figures would be ridiculous.
The UK's dying. 12 years of mismanagement has destroyed it. The #ToryScum are trying emulate the USA in many areas, already a badly broken model.
