The news today seems to be nothing but carefully skirting around the fact that an old bigot let a lot of sexual abuse go on under his watch. Usually, I keep quiet when people die, but the former pope seemed like a pretty awful bloke for several reasons, & carefully and deliberately ignoring all of that is pretty distasteful.

The Catholic church are well known for covring up abuse and failing to acknowledge it. This also applies to other religions too.
