@Jaden2 hell, my mother’s high school was bombed her senior year by segregationists. George Wallace was still governor as late as 1986. This is all living memory, not the distance past. When they dare to ask “why you bringing up old shit” the correct answer is “because it’s not old at all”

It is essential that history is never forgotton or re-written as not to upset people. I don't see 1986 as 'old', to me that is recent, even the holocaust in the 1930s and 1940's may be a long time ago (before my time), the people alive at the time are getting less and less, doesn't mean that when there is no longer anyone alive who remembers, that we just stop telling or discussing what happened.

Of course, one reason was that those that worked at Bletchley park were under the official secrets act and were unable to talk about what they had done.
