The concern — as raised by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken — is that may not be the end of Azerbaijan's regional ambitions, and all eyes are now on the Zangezur corridor, a tract of land running along Armenia's border with Iran. The danger is that another move by Baku's forces could inflame a broader conflict in the Southern Caucasus — an area where Turkey, Russia and Iran all have core strategic interests.

So more than one reason for the US to have its military hardware in the mediteranian.l It seems that the current crisis in Gaza / Israel could be an ideal distraction that other countries could take advantage of.

A very dangerous situation and a good reason to ensure we have dialogue will ALL countries in the region (including Iran) so we can avoid more human misery.

@zleap

I don't have much hope for the US government's ability or willingness to negotiate. 😔

I've been listening yesterday to a conversation with Chuck Watson: youtube.com/watch?v=dMVe4nxvQ6 and he said that there's "a remarkable uniformity of thought within the US [foreign policy]". He says "Democratic Party used to have a fairly significant peace movement within it; now you can't find a peace activist in the Democrat Party anymore without a magnifying glass".

Which reminded me of this meme.

Some of the rhetoric being used such as 'this is our 9/11, will serve to polarize opinion, ensure support is for war and to wipe out Gaza

Anger here has given way to full blown hatred which is being taken out on those in Gaza AND the west bank

Over 100 premature babies are going to DIE unless power alone is restored to hospitals.

And the world brands Hamas "Baby Killers. "
