If the schools faculty regularly eat the same lunch food as the kids the food is probably up to the level it ought to be. If the faculty and staff won’t touch it even if it is free/discounted— it’s unacceptable.

In theory food for young people would be *higher* quality than adult food— but we do not fund or run most public school cafeterias this way. I want to know why not.

Good question, but it goes without saying good nutrition is key to good learning, especially when for what ever reason the kids can get a proper meal at home.
