This won't be the last time this happens, unti aduts grow some balls and start to actually TELL children and young people they are NOT in charge this will just carry on. Teachers suffer both verbal and phsical abuse with what seems to be impunity.
Adults seem to be scared of children, there was a time when an adult could raise their voice, and that alone would stop their nonsense.
Perhaps we need less gentle lessons for parents on e-safety, show them what us out there ( no censorng it) and give them the tools and know how to really protect their kids on the internet. Back them up as many find technology harder to use as it isll esp with constant changes and developments.
Start to clamp down on mainstream social media, but in a way that empowers users to control things, rather than expecting companies whio are less for safety and just care for profits. Fines could be collected and the money can be invested in alternatives so we can build a more user centric internet, and send big tech to /dev/null before it is too late.
