Film sex and nudity to have age ratings tightened for under-15s, BBFC says

@zleap
Never mind that stuff. Some of the things I've seen rated at 15 or even 12 have appalling violence in them that should be rated at 18. Especially stuff on Netflix.

I agree there, and some of the language in films is also normalsing swearing far earlier. We are seeing kisds copying what they see online (and this includes streaming). On the note of ratings is there a differece between a fantasy film depicting war, and a film that is telling a story of a real event, e.g Dambusters, Dunkirk and the Longest day (D day) fTheor example, sure they are violent but they also tell that story, same for The great escape. aIn another sense Escape from Sobibor is horrific in the portrayal of what happened.

@zleap
One example is Deadpool being rated 15 despite some extremely graphic and realistic violence. I'm not too worried about about language tbh because that's always been around. Kids know the words anyway and it's more a case of learning when it's acceptable to use them.
