Sort of discusseed this at the STEM group earlier, if a programmer earns say 100k a year, and does programming without AI, does it mean if they then start to use AI that does 95 percent of the work, does that programmer get a 95 percent salary reduction and gets paid for the work they have undertaken. Or perhaps replaced with someone else, who is less qualified but able to just use AI to do the job too.
Either way programmers risk losing jobs or salary due to the fact they are doing less work.
The 100k is there just as a made up figure as it is easier to just work out percentages. In this case 95% of that 100k is a measly 5k a year.
Given how capitalism works, it would not really surprise me.
