While I hate Trump as much as anyone might, I’m kinda mad at the veterans who finally hit some breaking point about Arlington National Cemetery.
Trump disrespected women—a full 50% of the US—over and over for the last 9 years as a candidate and the rest of his life prior as a citizen. He has disparaged and said horrible things about people of color—again 20-40% of Americans. He has said vile and despicable things about ally countries. He has been convicted of crimes. He has even disrespected #veterans before with so many things like “suckers and losers”. Why weren’t ANY of those breaking points!?
Somebody who is put off by Trump NOW, after the #Arlington cemetery thing? It is hard to understand. How did all the other things not amount to irretrievable disqualification? He has disrespected everything everywhere all the time.
I’m glad the scales have finally come off their eyes, but it’s hard to respect the decision making prior to this moment. Welcome back to America. Took you long enough.
We never know what happens in peoples heads, maybe what happened at Arlington was simply a step too far for the veterans and they speak up, sure there have been a lot of other incidents but a lot of people keep ( or may ) quiet to avoid being seen to be making a fuss (where they are quite annoyed in the back of their heads)
