It would help if the media would report FACTS, rather than on every speculation that comes out, which is usually contradictort, I would much rather read an update every few weeks, that includes evidence on both sides so as a reader we can draw our own conclusions, the current situation is something is reported, then the next day it is changed.
In a trial you get the Prosecution, Defense put their points across, the judge then sums up, the jury then make a decision based on the evidence presented, hence they are not allowed do their own research, they can (I think) ask for clairification on various points if needed to help with the decision.
@zleap Well - evidence ought to not be on either side. Just - evidence. The issue is that a) a fair bit of what was presented in court, should not have been allowed to stand as it was deeply tainted (as we now know from the volume of experts who've come forward to say so) and b) the discussion has been badlyt tainted by the hard right media - and politicians (Wes Streeeting - looking at you) who wanted a drama at any cost.
Poor woman. And families.
