Black holes are spinning faster than expected
I believe Astrophysics to be the best science to study if only because its pursuit regularly hammers home how any theory, no matter how clever and elegant, is only as good as what you don't know… yet. I find that healthy.

I guess one plus to all this is that unlike many careers Astrophysics is a job for life, we find new things to study which in turn throw questions about what we know about other aspects of the topic so we have to revisit and refine our knowledge.
