Place names are always contentious. For example in the 90s it was dangerous to call Derry Londonderry or visa versa depending on who you were talking to. My own father and his family call their home town Magosa but most of the world knows it as Famagusta.
So we shouldn't begrudge the evolution of place names. Although the "Gulf Of Mexico" has been recognized for centuries, if some people want to call it "The Gulf Of Trump Is On The Epstein List" that is entirely their right.

As far as I can gather this 'epstien list' is a plane passenger maifest to His Island. Could be more than one, could be a list that is a combination of everyone on the various manifests.
