... is ideological position. An individualist libertarian might prioritize lowering their own risk of both illness and loss of liberty, regardless of the likely effect on others. A statist might prioritize the needs of the public health system and advocate reducing infection by any means necessary, regardless of the overall impact on themselves and others.
