@moiety I don't get why such an interface is bad. If you have a recommendation system, isn't it better to give the user an indication of why something was recommended and give them the option to have similar recommendations suppressed or more prevalent? @cwebber
@2ck @moiety The problem is when engagement-based tooling isn't run by you on your system, but on someone else's behalf. It would be possible to build such a system that runs on *your* behalf, but naively copying eg Twitter's approach won't result in that.
