I just met someone from India who moved to Germany recently. Both the cultural and language barriers were strong. After warming up a little, he dared to ask the one question he's been meaning to ask:

"In Germany, some people like Hitler, some people don't like Hitler. Why?"

I tried to get clarification on what he means, and he then compared the situation to India, where everybody loves Gandhi, so he doesn't understand these differing opinions about Hitler.
