Do people like threads here? I guess we'll find out!

Between meetings today I thought I'd talk about #NASA #JWST and all the exciting #science we can expect from it starting in a few months!

Since you asked, I'll share my opinion on threads; others' opinions may differ.

Multiple posts on a microblogging platform is a bad format for long-form content. Additionally, on the fedi, which uses chronological timelines, it can be spammy. I'd much rather see a link to a long-form blog post in single microblog post. This better facilitates the conversational nature of the
platform.
If a post is too long to fit in one - 1/2

post, you can still divide it up --like my fedi client is doing for me now.

If you really want to write long-form content directly to fedi, then I suggest to find an instance with a longer character limit or another backend that is designed for long-form content (Friendica is one, I believe).
If I were to pick based on the format of your posts, I'd have a proper blog. @_astronoMay - 2/2

@nebunez that makes sense, but @_astronoMay was also making some of these updates between meetings and things, so making several smaller posts may be more convenient
