Cm7 is my new favorite #ukulele chord. I've mostly played around on the first two frets as I'm learning, but here's a reason to explore a little further.
@Seangarian I don't know what "adding the 9" means. This is my first instrument and I know very little so far
@Seangarian 何!you think my fingers are made out of rubber, eh?
I can sort if play that, but it takes me at least 5 seconds to configure my fingers that way. it doesn't sound any type of way to me.
@2ck Starting off some of these voicings suck but you’ll get em with practice. An easier voicing is to just bar across all the strings and then play a D on the last string. So you would be playing Bb,Eb,G,D. The root C would get omitted
@Seangarian that, I can play. to be honest though, I barely register changes in semitones at that pitch--I can tell it's different but ...🤷♂️
thanks for sharing though! this idea of when you can substitute chords still melts my brain right now, but I understand it a bit the way you explain it
@2ck Like for Cmin9 the 9 would be a D. On ukulele i think you could voice it in a few different ways. This voicing without the fifth is pretty.
